I have been a social worker since 2010, and a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec.
My career has led me to work with a multitude of clients, making me a versatile worker who quickly adapts to your needs during our work together, regardless of the issue addressed. My professional background means that today, I am comfortable supporting individuals, couples, families, as well as children, teenagers and adults.
In addition to my clinical background, I completed a PhD in social work in 2018, the subject of which focuses on several mental health issues in the workplace. More than the clinical skills acquired to support anyone experiencing difficulties at work, this PhD has developed my scientific side, meaning that I support my interventions and reflections with you by relying on the most recent scientific data. For me, clinical and research can coexist, and amplify my ability to help.
In more specific issues, I can support parents and children experiencing different challenges related to conflictual separation and child custody issues, for example severe separation conflict, parental alienation and parental coaching of separated parents who need to develop effective co-parenting communication.
Finally, my main approach is the cognitive and behavioural approach. I use different strategies coming from the schema therapy, as well as from the acceptance and commitment therapy, which is specific forms of the cognitive and behavioural approach. That said, beyond methods and techniques, I value the importance of human values in our exchanges, such as listening, empathy and offering a caring and non-judgmental support.
My wish is that our exchanges become your private, safe space, to drop off, and allow yourself to express your emotions, thoughts and fears, in complete freedom.
